Adding a Knowledge Source

Here’s how to add a new knowledge source from a URL:

Steps:

Go to Knowledge Base

In your WapiKit dashboard sidebar, click on Knowledge Base.

Click 'Add Knowledge'

Use the green button on the top right to start adding content.

Choose Input Type

Select whether you’re adding a URL, Document, Text, or Media.

Enter Title and Content

For URLs: paste your link and set resync frequency. For text: type/paste your content and hit Add to Knowledge Base.

For best results, use clean and concise content. Avoid uploading entire sites or overly broad PDFs in one go.

Best Practices

  • Keep your knowledge content organized by topic.
  • Use clear headers and formatting in your text or documents.
  • Add relevant FAQs, product details, and use-case explanations.
  • Review indexed content regularly to ensure it’s still accurate.
  • Use resync schedules for linked URLs to stay up-to-date automatically.

Once added:

  • The AI immediately starts using the indexed data for response generation.
